Next year, the team of teachers will remain unchanged; a priori, they are all committed to 2024. Student registrations will open in October. Should we keep the same number as this year? Or increase or decrease it? We'll see, depending on demand. The idea of a 6th "band" with students new to jazz could be interesting, and open the door to amateurs looking to progress.
Once again this year, the unfailing moral, technical and financial support of the municipality has consolidated the event. In the future, the new "Terre de Siagne" building will enable this week of masterclasses to shine even brighter.
The association would like to thank its partner supporters: the Conseil Départemental des Alpes Maritimes, the Mairie de St Cézaire, individual donors and all association members and volunteers, as well as the hosts who generously opened their doors to accommodate the musicians. The Saint-Cézaire Jazz Festival Association would also like to thank the technical services, the municipal police and the Saint-Cézaire elementary school for allowing us to use all the village venues during this week of intensive jazz.
And of course, as in 1981 (see below for a clipping from the 1981 Nice Matin newspaper about the Grande Parade du Jazz), we're going to do it all over again, with all the energy we can muster to see our little jazz community once again bring to our beautiful village the jazz we love, the kind that makes hearts swing.
